Effective leaders are people who have the skills to create visions, build trust, galvanize people, and get things done. Great leaders are people who can inspire with their attention and presence. They are the people who open the doors to new ways of thinking, doing, and being in an organization. They are the ones others naturally follow.

Experience is the Best Teacher. All of our work is active and experiential. We draw from 20 years of executive development experience to tailor sessions that address the particular needs of executive boards, managerial groups and whole staff organizations.

Recent Work:

We are directing a year-long action learning program with 30 high-potential leaders from Johnson & Johnson companies in the US, Europe, Asia and China. We initiated this program, designed it and now direct it. This program has produced 11 Vice Presidents in the past three years.  More info

The Seattle Study Clubs are a consortium of dentists who get together to learn about the different facets of running successful practices. We are designing and delivering one and two day leadership events. We are helping the club develop cohesion, and teaching members how to work with their staff to increase productivity and reduce tension and conflict.

The Singapore Police Force and the People's Association (governmental department) asked us to help develop better relationships with their citizens, increase citizen involvement, and expand their management ability of teams within the force.  We trained over 2,500 citizens and officers on how to run effective meetings, how to help people make decisions, and how to help people take action to make their neighborhoods better. Trained officers and citizens then went out into the community to develop citizen action teams.

We have been asked by PDL Bio Pharma to work with the Senior Vice President and his executive team to create both a team mission and team vision, and to improve decision-making and executive communication. We worked with this group improve their meeting process, team productivity, and communication within the business.

We have been involved in many leadership initiatives within GE over the last seven years. These programs have included an international management program, an accelerated change program, advanced facilitation skills and problem-solving sessions, and strategic planning workshops.

Skills Aren't the Only Thing. We always focus on skills and tools, but don't stop there. We also work on the interpersonal level - how to build trust, how to listen, how to advocate for what needs to be done, how to advocate for others, how to maintain integrity and focus in an ever-changing swirl of demands and information.  Because essentially leadership is a people game.
