Cynthia
has 20 years of advertising art direction, marketing and brand strategy
experience, including strategic planning, relationship marketing
and graphic recording. Clients range from large Fortune 500 companies
such as American Express, Sprint, Proctor & Gamble, and Ford,
to state clients, non-profits and small businesses.
Cynthia’s work with Westwood International as a graphic facilitator
has focused on providing leadership development training, client
coaching, and strategic business direction.
In addition to working with the Westwood team, Cynthia continues
her work in advertising, brand development and strategic communications
for clients such as the Hawaii Convention Center, Hawaiian Telcom,
the State of Hawaii. She is the author and publisher of a local
best seller “The Surfer Spirit”. The response to the
book inspired her to create a non-profit program (in conjunction
with the Hawaii State Judiciary system) to serving at-risk youth.
The program extends to New Jersey in 2008 with plans for future
international expansion.
Cynthia’s consulting experience includes:
• Strategic planning, including visioning, mission and action
plans for Hawaii Association of Conservation Districts, Kamaile
Elementary, Kaimuki High School, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and
HCC.
• Leadership training for various organizations including
dental study clubs.
• Brand development, implementation, and execution for launch
of the Hawaii Convention Center (HCC). Ongoing work includes continued
brand development, creative strategy and production of major communications
collateral and advertising for the center.
• Relationship marketing strategy and creative direction
to launch Hawaiian Telcom. including targeted communications to
niche markets and innovative production formats.
• Adventure therapy program development, design, and implementation
serving at-risk youth.
Cynthia holds a BFA in Art Direction and Graphic Design from the
School of Visual Arts in NYC. She was a Master’s Candidate
in Art Education and Art Therapy at Columbia University, NY when
she was brought back to Hawaii to help launch the Hawaii Convention
Center.
