Michele
Grondin has many years of experience developing graphics for both
small businesses and Fortune 500 Companies. She has created layouts
on a variety of projects, designing for final output to many types
of media, including 4-color print, digital, and slides.
From 1994 through 2001, Ms. Grondin was employed as a graphic artist
by Merrill Lynch. She began in the Presentation Graphics department,
generating slides and documents for the Investment Banking division.
The focus of the work was creating presentations for use in road-shows
to create interest in investment opportunities in IPO’s and
foreign countries. She was promoted to the Multimedia department,
which provided more sophisticated support for the same type of projects.
Much of the work there involved creating animated presentations
for the Investment Banking and Recruiting divisions, some of which
utilized interactivity. Additional responsibilities included designing
web sites for delivery across Merrill Lynch’s intranet.
Eventually, Ms. Grondin moved into the Research Media department
where she was responsible for the daily creation of 5 to 10 banners
for MLX, the sole Institutional Client web site. As a telecommuter
she developed a process for rapid manipulation of high impact, low
bandwidth animations for associates in New York, London, Hong Kong
and Tokyo.
Since 2002, Ms. Grondin has been working freelance while raising
her two children. She provides graphic design services on a variety
of projects for Westwood International, including speaker support
documents, printed mailers, and web graphics. Additional services
for Westwood and other clients include designing such projects as
logos, letterhead, brochures, bookmarks and book covers, product
packaging, posters and signage.
