Sharon brings a blend of coaching, training, and curriculum development skills to the Westwood International team. After earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University, she began her career as a systems engineer for IBM’s National Accounts Division. She later joined Lotus Development during the heyday of Lotus 1-2-3, where she called on Fortune 500 clients throughout the eastern U.S. and Canada. As head of organizational development for American Power Conversion, she was responsible for training employees worldwide in the sales and manufacturing organizations with an emphasis on Six Sigma principles.
Sharon’s commitment to creatively blending career and family drew her to develop her own writing, coaching, and curriculum development clients in the Boston and Providence markets while raising her children. Clients have included individual entrepreneurs and inventors as well as retail, high tech, and higher education organizations such as Hit or Miss Inc., Cabot Corporation, MathWorks, and Brown University to name a few. Certified as a life and recovery coach, Sharon delights in applying the latest discoveries in quantum physics and behavioral science as she helps clients optimize their potential as creators, leaders, and human beings. Sharon’s enthusiastic choice to farm and live off-grid on 40 wild acres in rural Connecticut requires a mindful focus on what’s truly important … and offers the peace that comes from letting go of the rest.
